![]() Since my wish is to use this live, I'm putting a high priority on stability. Internet searches have found threads like this: Focusrite Scarlett's whacky drivers in which users report the Focusrite drivers as buggy. Their tech support gave me a list of troubleshooting steps which I did, and the problem came back. Using the native Focusrite driver, the sound cuts out after a few minutes of playing. I prefer the EZ Drummer sounds to the Roland sounds, so I am sending MIDI from TD-15 out to 2i4 in, connecting the 2i4 to my laptop via the USB3 port which I assume is reverting to USB2 mode for compatibility with the 2i4, and taking the REAPER output from the 2i4 to my amplifier. My goal is to use the Roland kit to trigger the EZ Drummer software for a live performance with a band. ![]() Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 with latest Windows driver (v2.51) Dell Latitude E5450 with Windows 7 64 bit and 8GB RAM ![]() Since it seems to be the consensus that I should be using the FocusRite driver let me approach the problem in that way.
